TALK Around The WOODSHED (SCOOP)

A TOP TWENTY QUARTET MAKING A PERSONNEL CHANGE? ARE A COUPLE OF HIGH PROFILE TENORS FORMING A NEW QUARTET? [Update: see below]
1. The 5th Wheel has heard from numerous sources that Nexus, 18th place quartet at the International Competition in Nashville will be looking for a new BASS. We aren't sure of the exact reason for Mark Zenk's departure, but we believe it's job related. Good luck Mark! So what does the future have in store for Nexus? [Update: Zenk's work gave him a 3 year assignment in Beijing.]

2. Two heavy-hitting TENORS are thinking about forming a new quartet. Garry Texeira, member of the 2004 Int'l Champion Gotcha! and Bi-Champion Kipp Buckner (Interstate Rivals-1987, Gas House Gang-1993) are giving some thought to maybe putting together a new power quartet from mid-west area. With Buckner on LEAD, the word on the street is they may have a BARITONE in Aaron Hughes, who sang with Texeira in TKO. They are looking for a Bass. Hey Zenk, are you available?

Stay tuned to The 5th Wheel as we get more information.

Well, the rumor about Kipp and Garry T forming a new quartet are just that, rumors. There are no plans in the works for that. Just thought everyone should know.
